Task: Download and Boot the Hatari Atari ST Emulator
Needed: Hatari emulator, TOS OS file
Time: 15-30 minutes
Introduction
Emulators are important and useful tools for getting the most out of your retro computing experience. I recently posted about purchasing an Atari 520 ST computer. The Atari ST line can be emulated on Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows using the Hatari emulator that is freely available.
Instructions
You can download Hatari here. Note that will need a TOS OS file that is not included for copyright purposes. Here is a freely available EmuTOS OS that will work. Place EmuTOS in the Hatari main directory and change the filename to tos.img.

Hit F11 to go full screen. Hit F12 to bring up the main menu where you load floppy disks, mount hard disks, assign CPU and RAM preferences, etc.

Comments
This tool can be useful for loading software from your computer to a hard drive image for booting on real hardware.
