Task: Download and Run SysInfo for Benchmarking Amiga Computers

Needed: SysInfo, Amiga 680X0 computer or emulator

Time: 15-30 minutes

Introduction

Ever wonder how fast your Amiga 680X0 CPU is compared to other models? Want to confirm how RAM is installed? These and other questions can be answered using the SysInfo utility that was programmed and released more than 20 years ago by Nic Wilson with new updates and versions being released now by d0.se. This is a handy little tool that should be in your utility library.

Instructions

The latest version (4.4) can be found on Aminet. I downloaded the ADF and booted in on my Amiga 500 using a Gotek.

More information about SysInfo can be found at d0.se.

Comments

Although this is a very handy tool that provides a lot of useful information, the speed test is known to have some inaccuracies.
