Task: Explore New and Old Amiga Computer Magazines Online at the Amiga Magazine Rack
Needed: Web browser
Time: 15-30 minutes
Introduction
Back in the 1980s we relied mostly on magazines and books for our information about the latest hardware, software, and programming information. I personally read Compute! and a few Atari-specific magazines such as ANTIC. The Amiga 1000 computer was launched in 1985 with the Amiga 500 later in 1987. The buzz around Amiga computers helped launch a number of magazines such as Amiga World in the 1980s and Amiga Power in the 1990s. There are several modern Amiga magazines such as Amiga Addict. A great resource for exploring Amiga magazine online is the Amiga Magazine Rack.
