Task: Purchase an HDMI Switch for Use with Your Amiga PiStorm CPU Accelerator
Needed: Amiga PiStorm, HDMI switch
Time: 5-10 minutes
Introduction
I have previously posted about the PiStorm CPU accelerator for the Amiga 16- and 32-bit computers. I use it with my Amiga 500 that has 1M of chip RAM. One of the really interesting features of the PiStorm is the ability to run a modern operating system on the Raspberry Pi such as Caffeine OS, Coffin OS, and AmiKit. From there you can launch games and software on the Amiga. Unfortunately, this provides two video feeds with one on HDMI from the Pi and one on RGB from the Amiga. I was using two LED screens, but this takes up a lot of desk space. So, I decided to purchase an HDMI switch for easily jumping back and forth between the feeds.

Instructions
Purchase an HDMI switch. I got mine from Amazon for about $20. It is an Amazon’s “Choice” with 4.3 stars on about 28,000 reviews. I am sure there are other reasonable brands and perhaps some more expensive choices that offer better quality and other features.

Comments
This switch works well as intended and allows me to work with just one monitor on my desk. I have never had one of these before.
